Bonnie Chiu is the Managing Director of The Social Investment Consultancy, a global network of consultants specialised in impact measurement, impact investing, and diversity, equity and inclusion strategies. Since 2014, Bonnie has expanded the firm’s work internationally to Asia and Africa, and has worked with over 100 clients, including British Council, UNICEF and Tata Consultancy Services.  

 

Bonnie founded an award-winning social enterprise which empowers marginalised women and girls in 23 countries through photography and storytelling training. She has received multiple accolades for her work, including winning the Facebook Social Entrepreneurship Award in 2019, Asian Women of Achievement Awards 2016 and Hivos Social Innovation Award 2015. She is named Asia21 Young Leader, a Humanitarian Grand Challenge innovator and Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneur.  

 

She has been dedicated to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion. She serves as Forbes as a Senior Contributor writing on gender and diversity and has been invited to speak in 20 countries on gender and inclusion. She has also co-founded the Diversity Forum for Inclusive Social Investment and served on the Expert Review Committee of World Benchmarking Alliance’s Gender Benchmark.
